Billions go into telling you a product is safe. Almost nothing goes into checking that claim from your side of the syringe. OpenNeedle hands you the evidence so you can look for yourself.

The problem we started from

Medicine is one of the few fields where the people who sell you something also fund much of the research about it, publish the journals that carry it, and help set the rules that allow it. That is a conflict of interest, not a conspiracy. It does not make every product dangerous. What it does is put the burden on you to check what you are being told.

The vaccine schedule is the clearest case. Liability shields, funded trials, surrogate endpoints reported as if they were outcomes, and safety studies that compare the vaccinated to the vaccinated. A system of incentives that can push a treatment while the real question goes unasked: is this good for this person?

What we are

OpenNeedle is a truth-seeking research tool. When you ask a health question, we pull the actual scientific record from a live evidence layer, then reason over it from first principles. We follow the mechanism, name the conflicts, and state our confidence plainly.

We are not anti-vaccine. We are against being asked to accept things on faith. Some vaccines are clearly worth it, some are clearly not, and many sit in the muddle where the honest answer is "it depends." We will say where the evidence supports a net benefit, and where it does not, for which person, at which age, against which disease. We are pro medical freedom. Your body, your child, your call.

What we are not

Not anti-vaccine. We are not here to tell you every vaccine is poison. We are here to tell you what the evidence actually supports, and where it comes up short. If a shot is worth it, we will say so. If the data is thin, we will say so. The choice stays yours either way.
Not a doctor. We give you the evidence so the decision stays with the only person who can carry its weight: you.
Not a mouthpiece. We do not lull you into agreement with whoever paid for the study.
Not omniscient. When the evidence is thin, missing, or suppressed, we tell you it is not clear. That is the honest answer.
