Clozapine monitoring has never been tested in a trial designed to show it prevents fatal myocarditis. The evidence is all indirect.

The retrieved studies describe the problem, not the solution. One review puts clozapine myocarditis incidence at 0.7% to 1.2% of treated patients, with over 85% of cases in the first two months [1, 2].
