PFIZER HAS PUBLISHED THE LIST OF SIDE EFFECTS FROM COVID VACCINE
Pfizer's published list is a regulatory document, not a safety study. It tells you what was reported, not what is true.
The question assumes Pfizer published a list of side effects. What the retrieved records actually contain is the independent case literature on the one serious harm that keeps showing up: heart inflammation. A 16-year-old boy got myocarditis two days after his third Pfizer dose, and cardiac MRI still showed scarring at 9 months [1]. A 50-year-old man got fulminant myocarditis with cardiogenic shock 10 days after his second dose, confirmed on biopsy, and relapsed two weeks after discharge [2]. A 22-year-old died of myocarditis five days after Pfizer, confirmed at autopsy [3]. A 43-year-old woman got severe myocarditis after her booster [4]. These are case reports, not rates, but they are the kind of event a manufacturer's list is supposed to capture.
The best numbers come from a systematic review: in published cases, mean age 26.7, chest pain in 95.2%, and 1.1% mortality [5]. A living BMJ review found incidence highest in males 12-17 at 50-139 per million and males 18-29 at 28-147 per million, with Moderna probably higher than Pfizer in 18-29 year olds [8]. In one Israeli cohort, males 16-29 had 10.7 cases per 100,000 [7]. A VAERS-based analysis put second-dose myo/pericarditis at 162.2 per million in US boys 12-15 and 93.0 per million in boys 16-17 [9].
| Group | Myocarditis rate | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Males 12-17, mRNA | 50-139 per million | [8] |
| Males 18-29, mRNA | 28-147 per million | [8] |
| Boys 12-15, Pfizer dose 2 | 162.2 per million | [9] |
| Boys 16-17, Pfizer dose 2 | 93.0 per million | [9] |
| Males 16-29, one cohort | 10.7 per 100,000 | [7] |
| Published cases, mortality | 1.1% | [5] |
The comparison cuts both ways. One Israeli analysis found myocarditis risk after COVID infection was 18.28 times baseline versus 3.24 after Pfizer, with 10.3 versus 2.2 events per 100,000 [6]. A UK study found 40 extra myocarditis events per million after a positive test versus 1 after a first Pfizer dose [7]. That is real, and it matters for an adult weighing risk. But it does not erase the risk to a healthy teenage boy, and the risk-benefit modeling in [9] found two doses were uniformly favorable only in non-immune girls with a comorbidity. For boys without comorbidities, the modeled myocarditis risk exceeded the hospitalizations prevented during delta [9].
What the list cannot tell you is what was never studied. The records here contain no long-term follow-up beyond 9 months in a single case [1], no vaccinated-versus-unvaccinated cohort over years, and no all-cause mortality comparison. A published list of "side effects" is a passive-surveillance artifact: it captures what got reported, and underreporting is the norm. Absence from the list is not evidence of absence.
My call: treat Pfizer's list as a starting point, not a safety verdict. The heart risk is real, concentrated in young males, and understated by the word "rare." Confidence: moderate on the myocarditis numbers, low on everything the list leaves out.

Adverse events following vaccination against coronavirus disease 2019
A narrative review of four COVID-19 vaccines used in Korea (BNT162b2, mRNA-1273, AZD1222, Ad26.COV2.S) concludes they have acceptable safety profiles, with mostly mild transient AEFIs and rare serious events, so benefits outweigh risks.

Acute myocarditis caused by COVID-19 disease and following COVID-19 vaccination
This narrative review summarizes evidence that COVID-19 and mRNA COVID-19 vaccination can cause rare myocarditis, most common in younger males after second dose, with favourable short-term course and benefit-risk favouring vaccination.
